Releasing alongside Star Kings is the Triceratops patch, which is available to everyone for free, whether or not you purchase Star Kings. Star Kings brings two new campaign missions for the Oathbound, new powerful landmarks called Grail Configurations, and a host of new wildlife units to contend with. You could say that the Oathbound have the power of God and Anime on their side. Star Kings features a new faction called the Oathbound, a faction of honor-bound Paladins who walk around in giant Gundam-style mech suits. You can find a video version of this review on my Youtube Channel! If you don’t know, Planetfall is a fantastic 4X game with a large focus on tactical combat. Heritor: The ark is mineral, but the other units are all cyborgs so they benefit from Assembly unit mods.Star Kings is the third and possibly final expansion for Age of Wonders: Planetfall. ALL cyborg units can take on Xenoplague unit mods. Echo walkers have assimilate, phase manipulator can be enhanced with arc weapon mods. Voidtech: Only the rift generator can't benefit from Assembly weapon mods. All cyborgs are integrated without requiring expenditure of a synthesis unit mod. On the plus side, all of the tech units benefit from Assembly weapon mods. Synthesis: Too much overlap with the arc weapon tree. The mechanical units can benefit from Assembly unit mods. All Assembly produced Psynumbra units generate a free unit upon death, which is fine provided the corpse remains and there's a reverse engineer and/or reassembly module in play. Get the strategic operations and all those 'free' colonists are going to be recycled using the Assembly reprocess colonist tech.

The way I see it (and this is but a short summary of what there possibly is):Ĭelestian: Psionic and thermal damage channels.

There's no 'best' tech, some combinations give obvious synergies while others bring utility which is otherwise not available. Voidtech as already mentioned is a good fit. If you have the DLC content Heritor is a good fit since the all but one of the tech units are cyborgs.
